20 Top Master Data Management Solutions for 2016 (Part 1)
As part of its annual MDM and Data Governance Summits, the MDM Institute releases its field reports for the top MDM solutions. According to Aaron Zornes, chief research officer, The MDM Institute used “Top 10” MDM evaluation criteria in its selections. They are: data model; business services; identity resolution; data governance; architecture; data management; infrastructure; analytics; developer productivity; and vendor integrity. If The MDM Institute “were” to release a TOP 10 MDM list, Zornes said it would be based on momentum in market, customer install base size and vision/ability to execute: #1 Informatica MDM; #2 IBM InfoSphere MDM; #3 SAP MDG; #4 Microsoft MDS; #5 Oracle MDM/DRM; #6 Orchestra Networks; #7 Stibo; #8 Riversand; #9 Reltio and #10 Kalido by Magnitude. However, other key dimensions affect choice of MDM platform including: #1 Industry; #2 Business use case; #3 Scale, scope & complexity; #4 Geography, and #5 IT maturity level. All descriptions here are based on the MDM field reports. Next up: the other 10 solutions in the 20 top selections.
