There's nothing like a snow day to revel in the merits of remote collaborative tools. Short of opening a debate on climate change, let me just say that me and my colleagues in the Midwest are happy to be able to work from home, communicate and collaborate in many ways whenever necessary. 

In that vein, I've been asked lately to look at where to draw the line between simple communication tools -- like phone, SMS and email -- and the project and document-oriented collaborative platforms, notably SharePoint.
