Applix, Inc., a global provider of business intelligence (BI) and business performance management (BPM) software solutions, announced XLCubed, a leading provider of analysis tools, has joined the Applix Strategic Alliance Program. Together, Applix and XLCubed will help customers leverage the power of the TM1 analytics platform for all of their complex budgeting, forecasting and modeling requirements.

XLCubed is now able to access TM1 data directly and link TM1 data dynamically with Microsoft Analysis Services data through XLCubed, either using the Web or directly within Excel - extending the power of Applix's proven TM1 engine for real-time financial and operational applications.

XLCubed has provided sophisticated capabilities for Microsoft Analysis Services for many years. The latest version allows its customers to perform advanced adhoc analysis with direct drag and drop support, slice highlighting with integrated conditional formatting, dynamic move with member calculations, linked analyses and free format reporting - all operating directly within Excel. Reports with graphs, local Excel formulae and dynamic XLCubed grids can then be published to the XLCubed Web server edition for dynamic consumption in a real-time, thin client Web environment.
