SPSS Inc. and NetGenesis are forming a joint-venture to develop and market an analytical application for improving Web site effectiveness. The new solution, known as E-Metrics Vision Engine, will enable organizations to measure, analyze, predict and act on customer online behavior to increase marketing campaign effectiveness, customer retention and sales. The offering is scheduled for release by the third quarter.

Under the partnership agreement, SPSS and NetGenesis will jointly EVE, SPSS’s Enabling Technologies Division is supplying the components for data mining and visualization, which will be embedded in the joint solution. NetGenesis will exclusively market and sell EVE through its worldwide network of direct sales and strategic partners.
