If chief information officers are going to spend money on information technology the rest of the year, they are going to spend it on application integration, security software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool upgrades, according to Morgan Stanley’s most recent quarterly CIO survey.
In the survey comprised of 225 CIOs, a majority of those polled (51 percent) also favored the controversial Hewlett-Packard/Compaq merger. Of those surveyed, 96 percent were either a customer of HP, Compaq or both.
