What is the difference between federated data warehousing and distributed data warehousing?
Chuck Kelley's Answer: Not much. This question, to me, always looks like you are trying to compare apples and oranges. Data warehousing is a concept, which can be implemented using a monolithic database or a distributed database. So a federated data warehouse is implementing the data warehouse concept on a distributed database.
