webMethods, Inc., a Web services infrastructure company, announced that it is introducing two new programs that will enable customers to immediately embrace and deploy the webMethods Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) solution that is already delivering ROI in six to nine weeks for current customers. Based on the quick adoption and success of webMethods' BAM offering, the company is rolling out customized BAM workshops, tailored to specific industries. The company is also introducing a new solution, the webMethods Business Process Report Card, which provides organizations with both the visibility of the real-time operation of their business processes, but also with a baseline of performance metrics to determine how they are meeting their business commitments.

The webMethods Business Process Report Card is a value-added component of webMethods' Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) solution, which provides a fact-based view into how business processes are actually running versus how they were designed to run. As a graphical dashboard that calibrates the health of the most critical parts of the business, the Business Process Report Card can give immediate feedback on the root cause of business process failures, as well as contributing factors that cause latency and error in business operations.

webMethods customers have already experienced success with early implementations of the Business Process Report Card. For example, by using the insight gained through the webMethods Business Process Report Card, a financial services company will be able to discover where in the business process latency issues interfere with successful loan completions. By identifying how to improve this process, the company will be able to quickly lower their cycle time targets and subsequently increase loan volume, without adding more people or infrastructure.

webMethods is inviting customers to participate in customized BAM workshops. The workshops are designed around individual companies' business needs. As part of the workshop, webMethods will assist companies discover critical business processes and common exceptions, identify key performance indicators that need to be tracked and showcase how BAM can be applied to improve business operations. The workshops will give customers an opportunity to engage with industry experts to apply existing technology for immediate process improvements.
