As Super Bowl XLI descends upon South Florida this weekend, there is a software application that might just make following the big game a little more interesting for devout and casual fans alike. Information Builders has developed an Active Report using its flagship WebFOCUS reporting software that allows anyone, without any software or network connection, to access passing, rushing, receiving and defensive statistics as well as salary data for individual players in the big game this Sunday.

The application provides a new way for broadcasters, reporters and sports enthusiasts to look at information and gain insight into salaries and stats around performance that are otherwise hard to find. For example, are Marvin Harrison's 1,366 yards this season worth the $8 million paycheck Indianapolis cuts him based on his breaking the single season reception record by 20 receptions back in 2002? The WebFOCUS Active Report will tell you.
