January 24, 2008 - Unisys Corporation received a five-year contract to provide IT outsourcing services to the city of Minneapolis.
The contract has a value of $48 million, assuming the contract runs for its full five-year term. Unisys will provide the city with outsourcing services through 2012, continuing a relationship that began in 2003.
Unisys will provide a full range of outsourcing services to manage the citys complete IT infrastructure, from the data center to desktops and mobile devices. The Unisys services, which range from technology planning to end-user support, data center management and network management, serve all agencies of the city government, including the mayors office, city council, fire and police departments and the public works department.
