Total Defense, a company that offers information security products, announced this week that it acquired iSheriff, a provider of cloud security services.

"The iSheriff acquisition gives [Total Defense] end-to-end ownership and control of cloud infrastructure, development and IP,” said Lawrence Guerin, VP of marketing at Total Defense.

The acquisition also gives Total Defense a team of cloud veterans.

Total Defense recently announced its first cloud-based product, Total Defense Cloud Security, an integrated security-as-a-service offering for Web and email protection. The new service provides an additional layer of security designed to enhance the company’s existing endpoint solutions.

Terms of the deal were not announced.
