Cambridge, Mass., Sept. 5, 2000 Torrent Systems, Inc., a provider of scalable solutions for processing and analyzing massive volumes of clickstream and transaction data, announced that it has formed an alliance with EMC Corporation, a leader in information storage. As part of this alliance, Torrent has joined the EMC E-Infostructure Developers Program and will utilize EMC’s application programming interfaces (APIs) to integrate its product Orchestrate with EMC InfoMover software. The integration will enable high- performance data transfer between EMC’s Symmetrix Enterprise Storage systems and Orchestrate, a data management platform capable of processing and analyzing massive amounts of consumer information with the speed and sophistication required by today’s business applications.
