Euclid Inc., the leading provider of integrated IT business management software that aligns IT services with business goals, announced the results of a recent survey of CIOs from Fortune 500 companies on an issue that is top of mind with business leaders – how to better align IT with business goals in a clear and demonstrable way. The CIO survey revealed that a majority are currently chartered with bridging the gap between business and IT, and are doing so within structured quality standards such as Six Sigma, Balanced Scorecards, Cost of Poor Quality and other such initiatives. Overwhelming, the majority surveyed agreed that success must be measured in business terms and business operations metrics, above the “bits and bytes” that networks systems management tools offer, for example. Top priorities of those CIOs surveyed, include: business partnerships, alignment and better articulating the business value of IT.
