The demand for wireless data will do nothing but accelerate. However, companies are still struggling with how to make a profit.
"What the wireless data speculators have failed to address is how much consumers will actually be willing to pay for these ancillary, nice-to-have services and -- more importantly -- how the carriers or content providers will charge for them,” says Knox Bricken, a wireless/mobile services research analyst with the Yankee Group.
