When it comes to building enterprise information portals, one size doesn’t necessarily fit all, new research from The Delphi Group suggests.
Companies used to think only in terms of developing one portal for use by the entire enterprise. Now, however, a survey of 550 companies by Delphi reveals that corporations are building multiple portals based on department, business unit and business function priorities. “There has been a sea of change in attitudes about how many portals might be implemented within the organization,” says Scott Wallace, a Delphi analyst.
