If at least one research firm is right with its predictions, then the future of IP-based storage is bright -- even if other analysts don’t altogether agree with the conclusion.

“IP-based storage networking is disruptive technology that will reduce storage costs, ‘democratize’ storage networking and help to converge network attached storage (NAS) filer and SAN (storage area network) storage architectures,” according to a recent white paper from The Aberdeen Group, Boston.
