The hardware, software, and services companies providing the infrastructure for e-business and e-commerce will generate $5 billion less in revenue in 2001 than in 2000, according to Strategy Analytics.
The research firm projects that worldwide spending will reach $31 billion in 2001 for dedicated hardware, relevant packaged software and services targeted for e-business. This figure contrasts with the $36 billion spent on the same product and service types in 2000.
