Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), a leader in RFID technology, and BearingPoint, Inc., a business consulting and systems integration firm, announced an alliance agreement to market products and services to customers in the manufacturing, retail, life sciences, financial services and government sectors. This agreement signals BearingPoint's and Texas Instruments' commitment to support the continued adoption of RFID to their current and future customers.

This relationship will leverage both firms' strengths for enhanced go-to-market and delivery capability. BearingPoint will provide services in consulting, systems integration, assessment, proof-of-concept, test management and program management. Texas Instruments will provide its suite of RFID products as well as competencies in semiconductors, microelectronics engineering and RFID equipment manufacturing experience. Both companies will focus on enhancing market adoption with EPC-related RFID initiatives.

"Our alliance with BearingPoint combined with our global expertise in developing standards-based RFID technology for a diverse range of applications will help companies reap the business rewards of their RFID implementations," said Julie England, vice president of Texas Instruments and general manager of Texas Instruments RFID systems.
