With the number of mobile workers expected to double in the next three years, data warehousing and business intelligence professionals need to keep a close eye on wireless data developments, particularly for customer relationship management applications.
"The last 20 years have seen an explosion in wireless communications and computer technology and the last five years have seen the explosion of the Internet," says Client Interaction Chief Executive Officer Barry Berlin, who spoke Thursday at DCIs Customer Relationship Management Conference & Exposition in Boston. "Standing at the center of this convergence is the wireless data industry."
