(Bloomberg) -- Tableau Software Inc. named Adam Selipsky, a marketing veteran from Amazon Web Services, as chief executive officer, signaling the data-analysis software company’s shift to the fast-growing cloud-computing market.
Selipsky will succeed Tableau co-founder and current CEO Christian Chabot, who will remain chairman, beginning Sept. 16, the company said Monday in a statement. Selipsky has spent the past 11 years as vice president of marketing at AWS, the cloud-computing division of Amazon.com Inc. that provides data storage and computing power to a growing list of companies including Netflix Inc.
