Super-Pharm, Israel's leading drugstore chain with more than 180 locations, is deploying in seven of its locations Panoramic Power’s Energy Management System, which is designed to reduce operational and energy expenses.
Panoramic Power's platform, which combines wireless, self-powered sensor technology with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) analytic platform, gives Super-Pharm the ability to measure the amount of energy individual devices and systems consume at each store location where the platform is deployed.
The Panoramic platform generates alerts and reports on a real-time basis, providing a look into how efficiently energy is being consumed at a granular level. Panoramic's self-powered wireless sensors can be installed on hundreds of circuits in a matter of hours, the company says. Once installed, the sensors never require maintenance, service or battery replacement. Customers can access data and analytics through the platform's dashboard, set up alerts and automatically receive reports.
Data on the energy consumption of HVAC, lighting and other systems and devices is delivered through real-time alerts and supported with device-level reports.
Super-Pharm tested the platform for seven months, and during that time was able to identify inefficiencies in its energy consumption and potential equipment failures, due to inconsistencies in the way certain equipment was consuming energy.
"We are very surprised at the amount of data that we could 'act on' to make measurable changes at our facilities from an energy, operations and maintenance perspective that has had an impact on our bottom line," Oren Halfron, buildings and assets manager at Super-Pharm, said in a statement.
