(Return to beginning of story)
If we had helped a big company dump the chore of "processing and storing millions of documents," we'd have crowed about it too. This Xerox ad with customer Marriott has been running everywhere and we like it, even if the voiceovers over the actors are a little too obvious. The agency, however, apparently didn't get the notice that you're not supposed to put noisy vacuum cleaner sounds in commercials.
Then there is this spot with client Notre Dame University, which you're probably going to like or hate depending on where you went to college.
Xerox Notre Dame
Okay, we're going to stretch the envelope. At 1:58, we're guessing this Xerox ad featuring Marriott never ran during the Super Bowl or even on television, at least not in its entirety. It is very slick though, with top-shelf direction and production.
We'd say it's pretty relaxed and humorous for a company that was able to remake itself every bit as much as IBM did.
