Sunopsis Inc. announced the availability of the latest release of Sunopsis, a data integration product able to address data replication, data synchronization, ETL, data warehousing and application integration needs. Sunopsis allows companies to efficiently manage and share data from disparate data sources regardless of database, platform or legacy systems – empowering companies to access the right data at the right place, at the right time, and improve business responsiveness.

The product’s unique distributed architecture and open connectors for all types of databases offer greater flexibility, scalability, and cost savings advantages over other data integration solutions. And, because the product is fully written in Java, it is truly portable to almost any platform without loss of application functionality or performance. It does not use any proprietary languages, requires no additional hardware, and does not have any restrictions on the number of source or target servers that it interfaces with – resulting in reduced total cost of ownership and faster time to deployment.

Sunopsis v3.1, the latest release, provides several new benefits including the ability to automatically detect changes in the data sources – thereby increasing performance and throughput by moving only data that has changed when performing data transfers. This journalizing feature allows for easy, real-time replication or synchronization of data between various databases and applications.

Uniquely architected, Sunopsis uses the existing IT components to perform the data integration processes, eliminating the need and cost of deploying dedicated hardware. Sunopsis v3.1 is also the only data integration product to provide an out-of-the-box JMS-compliant Message-Oriented-Middleware (MOM), as well as the ability to seamlessly integrate with any JMS-compliant MOM – making real-time data integration achievable without any programming.

The latest release also includes native support for SAP and Oracle Applications. With built-in open connectors to SAP and Oracle Applications, Sunopsis makes it easy to not only connect and extract data, but also allows users to insert data into these applications.

Also new in the latest release is a workflow design and visualization module which allows the user to define graphically the chaining of the data transfer processes – increasing developer productivity by simplifying the management of the workflows. This release also features a Web interface to initiate remote, on-demand data integration processes – such as remote laptop database synchronization – without having to install software on the client.

Sunopsis v3.1 integrates data between enterprise databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Teradata or IBM DB2; desktop systems and flat files such as delimited files; XML data or spreadsheets; and ERP applications such as SAP or Oracle Applications.
