The second annual O'Reilly Strata Conference, held in conjunction with Hadoop World, is a three-day conference of keynotes, information sessions and networking events, all centered on big data technology and strategy for business managers, data analysts, developers and data scientists. This story is a compilation of the latest product releases and news from the conference.

  • MapR releases the latest edition of its big data platform, MapR M7, with automated architecture and data recovery. • EMC and Kaggle announce a partnership that combines EMC Greenplum Chorus, a social platform for collaborative data science, with Kaggle’s community of more than 55,000 data scientists, to help organizations find and connect with data professionals who can help them solve specific data problems. Chorus users can now search, browse, and drill into profiles of the Kaggle community members who are interested in collaborating. EMC also released the Greenplum Chorus source code under an Apache open source license through the OpenChorus Project.
