SortLogic SYSTEMS, a division of Omni-Soft, Inc., announced an agreement with Wausau Financial Systems (WFS), a leading provider of image-based payment processing solutions, to integrate and resell SortLogic SYSTEMS' software tools for reducing the complexity of software integration for multiple hardware environments.
WFS will offer SortLogic SYSTEMS' DPX Transport Interface for the IBM 3890/XP and BancTec SpeedFIRST hardware platforms. SortLogic SYSTEMS' DPX Transport Interface seamlessly supports multiple document processing hardware platforms with no additional programming effort, including reader-sorters from Unisys, BancTec, IBM and NCR.
The SortLogic SYSTEMS' components will be available across the breadth of WFS' industry leading software products for check and payment processing, including its Optima3 platform. WFS has the ability to license additional SortLogic SYSTEMS components, as customer demand warrants.
With the emergence of the check truncation and check-image exchange environments, check and payment processors will require software to run on a wide variety of hardware platforms, depending on the volume, application, and existing infrastructure. It is important that end users protect the technology investments they've already made in document sorters, while investing in software that enables the new wave of electronic capture and clearing solutions.
By incorporating a complete set of software development tools, and by using an industry standard architecture, including Windows Active X, SortLogic SYSTEMS' DPX Transport Interface reduces complexity involved with hardware-interface development and deployment. With DPX Transport Interface, developers can bring new solutions to market in mere months, as compared to traditional hardware interface efforts that can take a year or more. This single interface approach provides end-users with more hardware options, allowing for greater redundancy, protection of existing investments, and the ability to configure hardware to more closely match their needs - all critical in our increasingly distributed processing environment.
