Software Productivity Center Inc. announced that Merant acquired EssentialSET, SPC's leading process improvement product. As well, Software Productivity Center has entered into an agreement with Merant offering process consulting as a key component of Merant Best Practices for Change Management. Merant Best Practices for Change Management also includes Merant's leading enterprise change management platform, PVCS DimensionsTM; Merant's best practices framework, Merant EssentialSET Enterprise; and the process and implementation consulting necessary to help customers immediately begin taking advantage of comprehensive, closed-loop change management.
The Merant and SPC professional services component of Merant Best Practices Solutions delivers the expertise necessary to quickly guide a customer through successful change management problem solving. It includes an assessment to recommend process models, such as CMM and CMII, as well as assistance in the implementation of these process models and the Merant software platform.
