Databeacon Inc., a developer of Web reporting and data analysis software, announced six new independent software vendors (ISV) partnerships. These new partnerships strongly position Databeacon to dramatically increase global user adoption of its software.

basys, inc., headquartered in Linthicum, MD, is one of Databeacon's new ISV partners.  Focused on the employee benefit plan administration industry, basys solutions are currently used by more than 1500 benefit plans within the United States and Canada.

"Databeacon's Web reporting tools are a perfect fit for our customers who want to analyze their benefits data dynamically from any browser-based desktop," said Mike Davis, CEBS   President of basys.  "We considered products from Business Objects and Cognos, but in the end, we were most impressed with Databeacon's technical infrastructure, rapid deployment and low cost of ownership.  Additionally, Databeacon has been very responsive to our needs and genuinely interested in a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership."

In addition to basys, Databeacon announces five other new ISV partners:

Elsinore Technologies, Inc., software issues management, Raleigh, NC
Datex, customer care and billing analysis, Mississauga, ON
Relational Solutions Inc., business intelligence and portal development solutions for the U.S. mid-west, Cleveland, OH
Skywire Software, enterprise applications for the insurance industry, Frisco, TX
Informediate Inc., business intelligence for the wholesale distribution industry, Cuyahoga Falls, OH

These companies join Databeacon's existing ISV partner roster, including:

Actuate Corp. (NASDAQ: ACTU), enterprise reporting applications, South San Francisco, CA
Necho Systems Corp., expense management automation and reporting, Boston, MA
P2 Energy Solutions Inc., enterprise software solutions for the oil and gas sector, Houston, TX
Financial Database Services, Inc., front and back office automation solutions for the financial services industry, San Diego, CA

Databeacon offers ISV partners and their customers self-serve, interactive reporting and data analysis capabilities previously found in solutions that cost 5 to 10 times more, and requiring months versus weeks of implementation time. Databeacon's Web reporting and data analysis software also offers:

  • High adoption user interface that enables every user to get insight out of their data, not just highly trained analysts and professional "data explorers."
  • Ability to leverage existing IT infrastructure, instead of imposing new data and server requirements.
  • Deployments in days or weeks, instead of months or years as required with competitive solutions.
  • Low cost of ownership for initial software purchase and ongoing service and support.

Mark Smith, President of Ventana Research, said: "By simplifying the process of publishing data-driven reports that can be accessed, analyzed and delivered to users via a Web browser, Databeacon's technology is easily adopted and leveraged into third-party ISV solutions."
"The number one issue for ISVs is getting to market quickly while being able to offer a cost-effective reporting and analysis solution to their customers," said Databeacon CEO Andy Coutts. "Our ability to offer a fast integration path, and our willingness to accommodate various ISV business models, makes us an easy choice. This is why we have been able to grow our ISV partnerships around the world by 40 percent in the past year. This is very exciting because it means Databeacon is being installed in new markets all over the world by our ISV partners."
