SAS, following a strategic plan to buy complementary technologies, is acquiring Intrinsic, a United Kingdom-based campaign management software developer. Terms of the deal were not announced. According to Current Analysis Inc., a Sterling, Va.-based business competitive intelligence firm, in addition to supporting SAS' focus on customer relationship management, the acquisition also moves SAS into the operational side of CRM applications development. “The company’s total control of Intrinsic technology that it previously rebranded and combined with its own will broaden SAS' overall capabilities and its prospect audience,” Current Analysis says.
