Sagent, a provider of business intelligence solutions, is naming Chris Hamlin to the newly created position of Vice President & General Manager, Data Mining & Data Quality.

Hamlin, who has more than 20 years of experience in developing, marketing and selling software, joins Sagent from SPSS, Inc. At SPSS, he led the company's global strategic partnering efforts and directed the development, marketing and sales of its Enabling Technology Division. Before that, Hamlin served as general manager of Information Advantage's CRM Business Unit. He also was president and founder of Collaborative Software Solutions, which developed CRM analytic applications.
