Mountain View, Calif., Nov. 7, 2000 – Sagent Technology, Inc., a provider of real-time e-business intelligence solutions, announced new support for Sun Solaris environments. Because Solaris is a platform for businesses deploying mission-critical applications, many companies will now be able to benefit from an e-business intelligence solution that is logically built and integrated into a single enterprise software package. Sagent’s new version 4.5 will provide server support for Sun Solaris 7 and Solaris 8, in addition to Microsoft Windows, for the entire end-to-end Sagent Solution. Version 4.5 also adds new database support for IBM DB/2 7.1 and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

“We’re pleased that we can now offer Sun Solaris customers the industry’s most complete product set for developing, delivering and maintaining Web-based analytic applications,” said Ben Barnes, president and CEO, Sagent. “With Solaris server support, we can build the data warehouse, generate the reports and deliver those reports over the Web. This release also enables users to leverage their existing investment in Solaris hardware, software and expertise for building powerful business intelligence applications.”
