Safety National retools analytics, billing with Guidewire

Safety National Casualty Corporation, a specialty insurance and reinsurance provider, has come to terms with Guidewire Software on implementing the vendor’s billing and analytics software.

Guidewire's BillingCenter, DataHub, and InfoCenter platforms will replace Safety National’s billing management system and data warehouse, the companies said. The new technology will be installed concurrently with Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, which Safety National selected last year. Guidewire PartnerConnect member Ernst & Young will lead the implementation.

“The ability to easily configure BillingCenter for existing and new lines of business was very attractive to us,” said Chris Griffith, chief information officer, Safety National, in a statement. “We are also excited about the prospect of using Guidewire DataHub and InfoCenter as our primary source for data and look forward to extending their capabilities to our users.”

Guidewire’s suite of products will enable Safety National to improve commission and payment processing, better map and convert data through the vendor’s InsuranceSuite core offering, and offer a single view of claims and underwriting data to users across the company.

The insurer joins Canadian insurers AMA and Promutuel Insurance, as well as Curacao-based ENNIA, as Guidewire’s latest data management customers.
