RedPrairie Corp., a global supply chain and retail technology provider, announced the launch of RedPrairie On-Demand Supply Chain, a business unit that will deliver supply chain applications in the cloud. RedPrairie On-Demand Supply Chain will support advanced functionality for warehouse management and transportation management, delivered in both a single and multi-tenant model.

After acquiring on-demand warehouse management system provider SmartTurn in 2010 and on-demand transportation management provider Shippers Commonwealth in 2011, RedPrairie says it became the only provider to offer a complete supply chain management (SCM) solution in the cloud.

“Supply chain visibility is at the heart of our client-driven business, and RedPrairie’s supply chain in the cloud has been our cornerstone,” Brian Schoenbaechler, general manager of IntegraCore, a third-party logistics provider and RedPrairie customer, said in a statement. “Not only have we expanded our business because of RedPrairie, but our clients have benefited [though] better collaboration and accountability.”

RedPrairie offers supply chain solutions that address supply chain operations—from small facilities to the most complex shipping center.

The company announced its on-demand product strategy to customers earlier this year, outlining its plans to support multi-tenancy for transportation management and fully integrate its on-demand product portfolio.

Phase one of the rollout of its product roadmap, which includes the support of multi-tenancy for transportation management, will be completed by the end of the year.

RedPrairie has installed its supply chain, workforce and retail systems in more than 60,000 customer sites in more than 50 countries.
