Web-based bookkeeping service Real Time Bookkeeping has changed its name to Cloud9 Real Time.

The San Diego-based company, which is an Intuit-licensed Commercial Host and an MSP Alliance-accredited Managed Service Provider, has changed the name to reflect its recent growth, as well as the trend toward cloud computing.

"We have grown over 500 percent in just under 18 months, and the name change is part of the transition to industry leader that we have all been looking forward to,” said CEO Robert Chandler in a statement.

Real Time Bookkeeping provides an array of products and services for accounting professionals including QuickBooks hosting, document management and storage, application hosting, marketing and sales support, as well as private labeling and virtual server technology. With the development of cloud computing and the recent licensure by Intuit, RTB has grown from being a QuickBooks hosting provider into more of a Managed Service Provider.

Cloud9 Real Time offers an all-in-one virtual office solution. The company’s proprietary software, the e-Dashboard, allows users anytime, anywhere access to applications, documents, files and folders. In this multi-user environment, users can work with their applications and files at the same time as co-workers or clients while utilizing the full desktop version of applications instead of being limited by online offerings. The virtual server technology offers businesses the option to outsource their server needs to the cloud and provides an all-in-one stop for accessing the office.

Cloud9 Real Time hosts all of its servers in the United States at a SAS-70 Type II data center. Technical support is free of charge and U.S. based, and the company said it never charges storage fees.
