Reactivity, Inc., a leading secure XML Web services deployment system, recently announced Thomson Prometric, a leader in technology-enabled testing and assessment services and part of The Thomson Corporation, has selected Reactivity's system to rapidly deploy and maintain secure XML Web services connections internally to their global testing centers and to their customers and partners.

Thomson Prometric selected the Reactivity XML Firewall, the Reactivity Management Console and the Reactivity Gateway-D to securely deploy its national and global service oriented architecture (SOA). By implementing an SOA, Thomson Prometric gains the greatest amount of reuse, flexibility and security across applications to use for internal and external consumption. Reactivity is accelerating the time to market of Thomson Prometric's secure SOA, enabling it to generate revenues from centers and new partners quickly and securely.

"Reactivity's ability to provide rapid and secure Web services connections with partners on diverse platforms, transports and with varied security practices will enable Thomson Prometric to integrate diverse new offerings in weeks instead of months," said Glenn Osaka, CEO and president of Reactivity. "By working in conjunction with the other technologies already in place, Thomson Prometric can build a solution that works for today and scales for the future."

The Reactivity XML Firewall is an XML proxy that processes bi-directional message flow while performing all protocol and transport mediation, defending against XML attacks, ensuring trusted transactions are correctly validated and routed, and providing a signed, auditable record of messages and events. The Reactivity Management Console enables diverse professionals to define policies and monitor enforcement. The Reactivity Gateway-D provides developers and testers with a desktop appliance that enables them to use Reactivity's full functionality within minutes in their local environment.
