QlikTech Inc., a leading provider of powerful and rapidly deployable business analysis and reporting applications, announced the "Think Outside the Cube" Contest. The contest gives developers the opportunity to show their skills by designing and developing off-the-wall analytic apps using QlikView, QlikTech's flagship development tool. Winners will be announced in December, and will receive a $5,000 donation to the charity of their choice. All participants will receive a one-year free limited use license for QlikView Enterprise.
"We've found that people are passionate about their QlikViews. Our customers have shown us applications they've designed themselves for everything from organizing their email to picking the right wine for a particular dinner," said Anthony Deighton, vice president of marketing at QlikTech. "We're looking for developers to show off their talents with the most creative applications possible, and almost anything that generates data is fair game - results and statistics from a favorite sport, movies, fantasy football, financial results from obscure stock exchanges, kids' swim team times, even the price of tea in China."
