When it comes to information technology, including database applications and data warehousing, Oracle Corp. is better, cheaper and faster than the competition – at least that’s what Oracle CEO Larry Ellison wants the market to believe.

In what amounted to an hour-long bashing of the competition, Ellison used his December 4 keynote address at Oracle Open World in San Francisco, to take shots at all of his company’s major rivals, including IBM and Microsoft.
