PureEdge Solutions Inc., a leading provider of automation for form-based business processes, announced that its secure XML e-forms are now available for integration with IBM Lotus Workplace 2.0 and IBM WebSphere Portal. For the first time, users can benefit from improved data sharing, enhanced collaboration capabilities and rich client offline support that PureXML e-forms bring to the Lotus Workplace environment.

The new integration supports IBM's vision to deliver a rich user experience while also delivering the benefits of a networked model. Lotus Workplace 2.0 contains IBM Workplace Client Technology that provides a foundation to create industry-specific, role-based Workplaces that will transform organizations with a highly productive user environment to do core activities within organizations such as banks, insurance and government. Lotus Workplace adds key collaborative capabilities on top of the built-in data management and security with "no touch deployment" using centralized administration and on demand desktop provisioning.

PureEdge's open standards-based framework provides IBM users with the power to streamline their business processes by integrating XML e-forms-based processes with back-end systems, and expands their on-demand capabilities by bringing rich client to the forefront.

Extended WebSphere Portal support is offered through PureEdge WebForm Server and the fully featured PureEdge Viewer, enabling XML-based forms with validation, formatting, layout and offline capabilities. PureEdge provides full portlet support for zero footprint forms and for inter-portlet communication, using standard click-to-action data sharing functionality to leverage forms data to and from other portlets.

PureEdge forms-based business process solutions are founded on industry and technology-specific open standards, including XML, Web Services and Java, enabling and simplifying interoperability and integration between systems, allowing organizations to leverage existing applications, data models and resources at the lowest cost. This unique open standards framework integrates people, processes and information to decrease implementation times and the total cost of ownership.
