Alterian announced the availability of Alterian Acquire, a new enterprise marketing offering tailored to large-scale, prospect-oriented marketers. Designed to allow marketers to replace legacy systems with a single data infrastructure that combines importing, visualization, campaign execution, data mining and optimization, Alterian Acquire is targeted at credit card issuers, insurance companies, retailers and telecommunications companies that manage large-scale customer acquisition programs. The offering, which is based on Alterian Integrated Marketing Platform, allows marketers to analyze their complete marketing database from their desktop and act on the results.


Lyzasoft, Inc. introduced Lyza, a powerful desktop analytics solution. Lyza enables analysts to synthesize, explore and visualize data, then to publish compelling presentations and dashboards - all without the reliance on IT development cycles. Lyza runs on Windows and Mac and is available for free trial download.


MEGA introduced MEGA System Blueprint, a software tool that links application design directly with business requirements for the development of modern IT systems, especially highly complex applications, very large IT projects and service-oriented architecture solutions.


Open Text announced the release of Genio 7, Open Text’s content and data integration solution used to transform, cleanse and direct unstructured and structured information across the entire spectrum of decision support systems and corporate applications. It spans projects that include data warehouses, data marts and mainframe systems.


Pitney Bowes MapInfo introduced MapXtreme 2008, the next generation of its Microsoft .NET-based location intelligence platform. Leveraging applications developed with the MapXtreme software developer kit, organizations can integrate location intelligence with existing business systems, enabling them to make better strategic decisions and more effectively manage and protect assets.


Relational Solutions announced BlueSky Analytics 6.0. BlueSky Analytics uses the latest Microsoft Smart Client technology, which launches a Windows application from a Web browser. The Smart Client technology allows for centralized distribution and administration. BlueSky Analytics is able to handle large data sets with ease. In addition, it includes "Pack-and-Go" technology for use when not connected to a network, so it's great when traveling or giving customer presentations.


Silver Creek Systems announced the immediate availability of its DataLens System, version 5.1. This new software release introduces a semantic index to perform highly tunable and scalable matching as well as deduplication to reconcile and merge multiple sources of disparate product data. 


SiSense announced the general availability and pricing of its Prism software. SiSense’s desktop-based product allows any user to unleash the power of business intelligence, regardless of technical knowledge. SiSense's Prism has analytics, reporting and graphing capabilities and doesn't require IT support to work. No scripting or programming is involved.


Sybase, Inc. announced the planned availability date of Sybase PowerDesigner 15, an all-in-one modeling and design solution for enterprises that need to build and streamline business processes quickly and consistently. This new version of Sybase PowerDesigner provides enterprise architects, IT professionals and business managers with the ability to improve business and IT alignment through its Link and Synch technology. Sybase PowerDesigner 15 also increases the capability for impact analysis and provides greater visibility for all stakeholders independent of technical experience.
