Centric Software, Inc., introduced the Centric Connector for Adobe Creative Suite. As part of the Centric 8 product lifecycle management and sourcing suite, Centric Connector for Adobe Creative Suite integrates design sketches and files at all stages of development with every other piece of product design, supplier and manufacturing information. Instead of sending individual design files back and forth for review and changes, designers and product managers now can improve control over the design and approval processes and collaborate more effectively all with better visibility of the entire process and improved creativity.
Chordiant Software, Inc. announced general availability of the Chordiant Connector for IBM WebSphere Process Server, a new linkage intended to help customers improve the process of managing customer conversations as a larger business process. The Connector plugs into Chordiant Enterprise Foundation version 6.4 and Call Center Advisor version 6.4. The combination of Chordiant customer experience management solutions with IBM WPS will enable companies to orchestrate live customer interaction management and back-end enterprise-wide process and work management.
Composite Software, Inc. began shipping the newest upgrade of its flagship product, Composite Information Server, version 5.0. Enterprise and government agency IT teams can flexibly choose development environments in which to build enterprise-scale data virtualization: Composite Designer optimized for Web services and Javacentric development, and Composite Studio optimized for relational-centric methods.
Coveo announced the general availability of Coveo Enterprise Search 6.0, an information access platform that enables businesses to generate a higher return on their assets and mitigate risk. Coveo Enterprise Search 6.0s key features include: improved scalability with up to 50 million documents per server; faster query performance and powerful contextual faceted search; unified interfaces, providing users with a tabbed search interface for optimized access to information; deep connectivity; new and improved connectors and interfaces - Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes, Salesforce.com, Open Text LiveLink, Confluence, Quest Archive Manager, SiteCore and Symantec Enterprise Vault.
Dundas released the latest edition of its flagship charting package. Dundas Chart version 7 offers more options and features. Among its new highlights, Dundas Chart 7 has expanded its feature set to include Silverlight extensibility, more helper add-ons and several cutting-edge new chart types, including: Scorecard, Pie Plus, Contour, Colored Area, Wafer and Timeline.
Experian QAS announced the release of QAS Pro On Demand. The new service combines QAS contact data management technology with Experians secure hosting capabilities. QAS Pro On Demand provides companies with a scalable 24-hour service that enables U.S. and international addresses to be quickly and securely validated via the Internet. Even when critical address information is absent, such as an apartment number or a street directional, the service intuitively narrows down possible address matches and prompts the user for missing information.
GemStone Systems announced availability of GemFire Enterprise 6.0. The new version incorporates capabilities enabling customers to adjust compute resources to meet service demands without any interruption to operations. GemFire Enterprise 6.0 now features a cluster resource controller that continuously monitors resources in the distributed data fabric. With built-in instrumentation that captures throughput and latency metrics, GemFire enables applications to sense changing performance patterns and proactively provision extra resources and trigger rebalancing of predictable data access throughput and latency without the need to overprovision capacity.
iWay Software announced the addition of a new Salesforce.com adapter for WebSphere. This adapter allows companies of all sizes, across all industries, to enhance their Salesforce.com environment with secure and code-free integration of "cloud- based" and on-premise applications. iWays Salesforce.com adapter enables information-sharing between Salesforce.com and virtually any other type of information system including: packaged applications, e-business connections, transaction processing environments, database systems, message systems and file transfer technologies.
Kalido announced that the latest release of the Kalido Information Engine now includes significant data matching capabilities for broader support of governance programs. The new release also includes enhanced functionality for the enablement of best practices for the design, development and deployment of the Kalido Information Engine.
Noetix Corp. introduced Noetix Generator 2.0 for Oracle Business Intelligence, making it faster and easier to roll out reporting to Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus and Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition One end users. This new version of Noetix Generator for Oracle BI is now integrated with NoetixAnswers. It automatically creates the Enterprise Information Model for Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft Enterprise applications, and publishes this information for end-user reporting and ad hoc query within the Oracle BI repository.
Oracle introduced the Oracle Retail Data Model, a standards- based data model for Oracle Database. The data model features a retail industry-specific schema complete with embedded retail-specific analytics to help retailers gain extreme intelligence into their business operations. The Oracle Retail Data Model marries extensive retail knowledge with Oracles data warehouse software to deliver immediate value to a wide range of retail organizations including grocery stores, specialty store chains, mass merchants, convenience stores and multi-channel retailers.
PROPHIX Software released a new version of its enterprise performance management solution. PROPHIX version 5.1 brings powerful new collaborative workflow management and extended financial consolidation capabilities to the masses. PROPHIX version 5.1 has several new features including: Financial Controller, a module that streamlines consolidation cycles by providing an accurate and controlled environment for financial information; SmartSwap, a quick adjustment tool that permits users to reallocate and log debits or credits from one account to another to permit a faster monthly close; and SmartPortal, a customizable home-screen which allows users to personalize their views.
SugarCRM Inc. announced Sugar Express, an on-demand offering for individuals and small businesses. Sugar Express addresses SugarCRM open source users demand for an affordable solution that runs on SugarCRMs global on-demand computing platform the Sugar Open Cloud. Sugar Express delivers core sales, marketing and support features, with Sugar Plug-Ins for Microsoft Office and access to SugarCRM Customer Support. Platform functionality includes Module Builder to create custom modules and Cloud Connectors to integrate third-party data services from companies such as Hoovers and Jigsaw.
SunGard launched Aligne, a service-oriented architecture-based, straight-through processing solution suite that helps energy companies optimize decision making and quickly adapt to business change by streamlining processes and integrating information across multiple business operations. Energy traders, utilities, midstream gas companies and large industrial consumers of energy can use Aligne to process energy financial and physical transactions across front-, middle- and back-office operations, and utilize configurable components for risk management and compliance.
Vertica announced a release of the Vertica Analytic Database with new performance, analytic and security features. Vertica Analytic Database 3.0 includes new features derived from Vertica users: additional analytic capabilities, such as support for SQL-99 analytic functions and new data types; SQL analytics; and support for new data types suited for a wider range of industries and applications, such as adding IP address storage. Vertica 3.0 is also enhanced to support the needs of modern data centers that are adopting virtualization and cloud computing.
WhereScape introduced WhereScape RED 6, the latest version of the companys software which enables organizations to ensure that the structure of their data always meets the changing needs of the business. New in WhereScape RED 6 is native support for IBM DB2, giving WhereScape seamless integration with leading enterprise databases including Oracle, Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server. In addition, WhereScape RED 6 provides support for Teradatas Linux scheduler as well as other new enhancements for DB2, Oracle and SQL Server that further expedite data warehouse development.
