Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. announced the availability of ActiveBatch V7, the newest version of its enterprise job scheduling and workload automation solution. Leading the list of new capabilities in Version 7 is a service-oriented architecture and related Web services tools that eliminate the need for scripts to integrate enterprise applications, platforms and databases, but also support the integration of internally and externally developed Web services as part of workflows.
AutoVirt, Inc. announced the release of its AutoMap site survey tool. The new software is intended to help customers discover under and over utilized Windows file server and network attached storage resources, in physical, virtualized and mixed environments. Once identified, customers are able to fine-tune these assets and defer additional server and NAS purchases.
Datawatch Corporation announced general availability of Datawatch ES, Version 4.6, the latest version of the companys enterprise BI and enterprise reporting solution. Designed to further enhance the capabilities of the companys current offering, Datawatch ES 4.6 offers new features that allow enterprises to easily extract and analyze information from critical business documents to drive more efficient operations.
Embarcadero Technologies, Inc. launched Embarcadero All-Access. Embarcadero All-Access enables customers to select from one of four All-Access levels providing on-demand access to the entire Embarcadero tool chest, which includes up to 18 development and management products. These tools range from rapid application and Web development to database design and development, database management and more. Higher All-Access levels provide additional products, features and functionality.
Infobright announced Infobright Community Edition for Windows. In response to requests from the Infobright open source user community, the company now offers native support for its popular ICE open source data warehouse on the Microsoft Windows platform.The columnar database is designed for analytics. Using industry-leading compression, ICE supports up to 30 terabytes of data on a single, industry-standard server, which reduces hardware requirements, while integration with Sun Microsystems' MySQL database provides MySQL users with a seamless path to a highly scalable analytic data warehouse.
Panopticon Software announced that Opturo Solutions On Demand, one of its OEM Partners, introduced a major new product built using the Panopticon Developer SDK. The system utilizes a variety of data visualizations, including treemaps, heatmaps and scatter plots, to allow hedge funds and related financial services firms to build, manage and report composites in compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards.
Star Analytics, Inc. announced the immediate availability of the Star Analytics Star Integration Server 2.5. The Star Integration Server provides an automated method of extracting and sharing data from Oracle Hyperion and other finance applications with relational data stores and business intelligence applications. The new version offers new features such as: faster extract performance to Oracle database targets, new database support leveraging the IBM DB2 Version 8.2 or higher, additional support for Sybase System 12 or higher and MySQL Enterprise Version 5.0 or higher.
Surado Solutions, a developer of CRM solutions for more than a decade, announced the release of Surado CRM Online - Professional Edition, an on-demand/hosted CRM solution. With this release, Surado further extends its CRM solutions. Surado CRM Online combines the core Surado CRM suite.
Syncsort unveiled Backup Express 3.1, its scalable data protection solution for SMBs, SMEs and large enterprises. The new release provides customers deploying server virtualization with capabilities to meet the data protection requirements of the new environments. BEX enables customers to reduce the storage requirements and the backup window by more than 90 percent. In addition, with BEX Instant Virtualization, a server can be recovered nearly instantaneously without transferring data.
Vertica unveiled a new version of Vertica Analytic Database packaged as a virtualized appliance to run in VMware environments. The new Vertica Virtualized Analytic Database is a simple-to-deploy, self-contained software package that runs its own operating system and copy of Vertica, on any VMware-supported hardware as if it were a physical computer. The Vertica Virtualized Analytic Database is the first high-performance analytic database to run as a virtual machine in private enterprise compute clouds. It offers a plug-and-play hardware appliance, but runs on commodity hardware already present in the data center.
Virtual Computer, Inc. announced its final beta and release candidate of NxTop 1.0. The NxTop solution tackles core PC management functions currently addressed with legacy agent-based tools, and delivers additional benefits using bare-metal virtualization technology at the end-point. Features include: one-to-many provisioning, publishing and patching of the base operating system; user data and profile backup and recovery; security, including trusted boot and cryptographic disk; full policy-driven control of end-point computing devices.
