BakBone Software released a new version of NetVault: Backup Application Plugin Module (APM) for Oracle. BakBone simplifies the advanced backup and recovery features of Oracle with automated GUIs and the integration of backup devices, which allows nonOracle administrators to easily and fully manage Oracle data protection without having to learn Oracle internals or create scripts.

New features provided in v5.5 include extensible monitoring and alerting and historical performance analysis. SQL diagnostic manager is a powerful database performance monitoring and diagnostic solution that provides proactive alerts about the health and performance of business-critical SQL Servers.
MITS announced a major new release of its business intelligence solution, MITS Discover. MITS Discover 7.0 delivers significant enhancements to the end user experience, improved tools for creating and adjusting analysis focused data collections known as hypercubes, and numerous enhancements to performance and reliability. Existing customers, partners and prospective users will all find improvements of interest in the solution.
Opalis Software Inc. announced the availability of Opalis Integration Servers integration with CA eHealth, a network performance management product. The new integration pack enables customers to create unified, enterprise-wide, cross-platform monitoring services that deliver IT services faster, with fewer errors, throughout the data center.
QuantiSense announced its collaboration with the Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), a division of the National Retail Federation, in creating the new ARTS data warehouse model designed exclusively for retail business intelligence (BI). The model is designed to make information accessible throughout the retail enterprise in order to support action-oriented decision making and ultimately improve the overall business.
