alfabet Inc. announced Release 3.1 of planningIT for IT-business management. The new release provides what analysts and thought leaders describe will be in the next generation of enterprise architecture (EA) solutions. The new version includes business capability management support - a powerful platform enabling the IT organization to conduct top-down strategic analysis of the business architecture and discover strengths and weaknesses of how it supports the business capabilities of its customers and partners.

Harte-Hanks announced that it is now making available a component of its long-standing Ci Technology Database (CiTDB) as a business-to-business data offering in North America, the Harte-Hanks Ci Business Database (CiBDB).


Journyx announced the launch of Customer Cost Tracker, a new tool that allows consulting and other service-based organizations to understand the costs of servicing their customers. Customer Cost Tracker provides an inexpensive, easy-to-use central repository for labor costs and expenses assigned to each customer. It offers an online solution for monitoring activities and project status that allows organizations to deliver on time and on budget.


Metastorm announced the availability of a Problem Report Verification Process Pod for the government industry. The Metastorm Process Pod for Problem Report Verification is a packaged solution framework that when deployed on the Metastorm BPMsoftware suite enables government agencies to electronically collect citizen-reported incidents, determine legitimacy, and dispatch resources for repair.


ModelRight Inc. announced it has released ModelRight 2.0, a new version of their product that provides database designers with a greatly expanded suite of tools, including enhanced ability to review and access objects and related objects in their databases. ModelRight 2.0 also adds support for MySQL 5.x on top of the company’s support for Oracle databases, the focus of its initial release earlier this year.


Plasmon and BridgeHead Software are announcing the availability of a joint product bundle for complete policy based data archiving, compliance and protection. The bundle includes BridgeHead’s HT FileStore storage management and data migration software, with Plasmon’s UDO Archive Appliance, a self-contained, network attached archive device, which manages data within an UDO (Ultra Density Optical) library and an allocation of built-in fixed RAID disk.


Prism Microsystems announced the availability of EventTracker 6.0 – the latest version of its enterprise event management solution that enables logging in depth for complete compliance, security and network visibility. This new release delivers major architectural and performance enhancements, more powerful analysis features and an enhanced reports console that provides audit-friendly workflows for a pain-free compliance audit.


Sql Power Tools (SPT) announced the release of ZUI, a new database monitor with an easy to use, customizable web interface for real-time monitoring with no impact to a database server environment. Featuring drag and move functionality, along with customizable live graphs and reports, ZUI revolutionizes how a database administrator monitors and works across database server environments ranging from one hundred to multi-thousand users. 

IBM unveiled Information Management System (IMS) 10, a new hierarchical database management and transaction system that delivers enhanced XML and Web services capabilities, making easier for customers to better use information as a strategic asset by evolving existing business critical applications to service-oriented architectures (SOA).


Tableau Software has created Tableau Server, which enables everyone in an organization to share, discover and participate in the exploration of data through Web-based publishing and collaboration. With Tableau Server, understanding data – and the enhanced decision-making that it brings – can become a company-wide skill rather than a “black art” practiced by a few specialists.
