Attivio AIE Version 1.2 is a next-generation information access product that combines business intelligence (BI) and enterprise search capabilities to seamlessly integrate structured data and unstructured content into a single index. 

 

Dow Jones & Company announced the latest version of its g2 offering, an on-demand business intelligence (BI) application. The latest version provides even greater business value by broadening user’s reach through linking with B2B social networking tools. Dow Jones’s g2 allows organizations to proactively identify, qualify and connect to desired companies and executive contacts through patented technology that crawls the Web and maintains databases in real time.

 

Embarcadero Technologies is releasing DB Optimizer, a new tool that allows developers and database administrators to maximize database performance by detecting and reconciling SQL coding issues. DB Optimizer enables quick discovery, diagnosis and optimization of poor-performing SQL, eliminating performance bottlenecks and improving the operation of production databases and applications.

 

iWay Software, an Information Builders company, announced the release of iWay Activity Monitor, a solution designed to provide visibility into automated business processes by integrating business activity monitoring (BAM) and business intelligence (BI). Omniture, Inc. announced the latest version of Omniture SiteCatalyst that advances mobile analytics capabilities businesses need to increase the performance of mobile marketing campaigns. 

 

Pillar Data Systems announced compatibility of its Application-Aware Axiom with virtualized VMware environments. The Pillar Axiom and Axiom MC are now listed on the VMware SAN compatibility guide for VMware ESX 3.5 and ESXi 3.5.. The Pillar Axiom extends the benefits of server virtualization by enabling a virtualized infrastructure, which features basic connectivity, multipathing with HBAs and storage port failover on VMware ESX 3.5 and 3i Servers. 

 

Quest Software, Inc. announced the addition of predictive diagnostics to its Spotlight on Oracle product, which thousands of customers use to find and fix database performance bottlenecks in real time. The new predictive capabilities extend Spotlight’s value and allow users to predict the future performance of SQL statements. 

 

Talend announced an open source data profiler. Talend Open Profiler provides project teams with the ability to understand the characteristics of their data and discover its quality level. Accurate profiling reduces the time and resources needed to find problematic data and allows companies to identify potential problems before beginning data-intensive projects such as data integration or new application development. It also allows business analysts to have more control over the maintenance and management of the data.

 

Texas Memory Systems announced the RamSan-440, a new solid state disk with record high performance, capacity for a RAM-based system and a combination of features that help ensure the highest availability of data to its users. The RamSan-440 is the world’s first non-volatile RAM-based solid state disk (SSD) to sustain up to 600,000 IOPS (input/outputs per second) and deliver up to 512GB of storage capacity in a 4U rack-mount chassis.
