ProClarity Corporation, a leading provider of analytic application technology for the enterprise, announced the ProClarity Business Application Center (PBAC) and the application accelerator for category management as well as support for Microsoft's Smarter Retailing Initiative, a comprehensive solutions framework for unleashing the next generation of retail innovation. The Business Application Center is a group created to help ProClarity customers leverage best practices in building business intelligence (BI) applications for the following key vertical industries: retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), financial services and healthcare. The category management application accelerator, the first of many accelerators to come, is designed to help customers rapidly create and deploy custom category management applications that speed the time to in-depth understanding and intelligent decision making.

The ProClarity approach, which leverages the Microsoft BI platform including SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services and Reporting Services, delivers the best of both worlds – a customizable platform for developing custom analytic applications that encapsulate an organization's specific knowledge and best practices without having to start from scratch. In addition, ProClarity provides a full suite of customizable, install-and-go analytic tools that are built from the ProClarity Analytics Platform to get customers started even faster. The application accelerator for category management will help customers even further by providing rapid implementation times, best practices from ProClarity experience and very low total cost of ownership (TCO).
