Pleasanton, Calif., Jan. 18, 2000 – PeopleSoft announced shipment of the next generation of PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management, an integrated suite of e-business intelligence applications that enable organizations to make strategic business decisions based on enterprise-wide data.

The first set of products built on PeopleSoft's PeopleTools 8 Internet architecture, Enterprise Performance Management 8 is entirely accessible over the Internet through a standard browser. By leveraging Internet standards and integration tools, Enterprise Performance Management 8 enables customers to harness internal data from transactional applications as well as external data from the Internet. The integrated suite, which marks the second generation of PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management, includes new products such as Balanced Scorecard and Workforce Analytics and new versions of Enterprise Warehouse and Activity Based Management. Several other components of Enterprise Performance Management 8 will become available throughout the first quarter of 2000, including several Web-based e-business intelligence workbenches for customer, workforce and financial analysis and a new suite of profitability management applications for the financial services industry.

PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management 8 delivers 15 new and enhanced products, built on an all-new architecture that includes best-of-breed data acquisition, scalable ROLAP technology, meta data management and Web-based interactive reporting. These products are grouped into four e-business intelligence solution areas that can be used as an integrated product suite or independently to suit any company's requirements.
