BMC Software, a provider of  IT management solutions, has launched BMC MyIT 1.5 with major new OS expansions and a new HTML 5 universal client supporting mobile, desktop and laptop devices. In addition, MyIT 1.5 delivers native Android support, a wide array of new self-service features, enhanced language support, and fast and convenient integration with BMC AppZone for enterprise app store access.

Dundas Data Visualization, a provider of custom dashboard software and services, announced the latest release of their platform, Dundas Dashboard Version 5.0. This release features support for big data sources and adds advanced usage tracking, an interactive HTML5 mobile interface and wide support for MapReduce technologies.

Splunk Inc. announced the general availability of Splunk Enterprise 6, the latest version of the company’s platform for machine data. Splunk Enterprise 6 delivers analytics up to 1,000 times faster than previous versions and includes patent-pending technology designed to quickly unlock the value of machine data to business and IT users. Splunk also announced Splunk Cloud, powered by Amazon Web Services, which includes access to all features of the Splunk Enterprise platform.

TIBCO announced Spotfire 6.0, the latest version of the company’s data visualization and analysis software. With the introduction of Spotfire Metrics, information is made available to executives and business users by offering personal KPI statuses and alerting them directly on their mobile phone, tablet or laptop. The new version also includes Event Analytics, which allows users to identify new trends and outliers through continuous process monitoring.

Unitrends, a provider of all-in-one backup, archiving, instant recovery and disaster recovery solutions, announced the launch of Unitrends Release 7.2, the latest version of software powering its Unified Data Protection offering of physical and virtual backup and recovery appliances.

Visier, a provider of workforce analytics, announced the launch of Visier Workforce Planning. The new cloud solution enables organizations to leverage data from unlimited sources to predict how workforce behaviors will change, and use this insight to create, analyze and collaborate on plans to optimize the workforce. 

YarcData, a Cray company providing big data solutions for real-time data discovery, announced a new software release for the Urika big data analytics appliance. Enhancements include integration with familiar enterprise data discovery tools as well as third-party visualization and BI tools, targeted performance improvements in the SPARQL query engine, and new workflow features to support data discovery.
