Actian Corporation announced the release of new ParAccel Dataflow Operators. This new innovation ties together the data management capabilities of Hadoop with the high-performance analytic processing of the ParAccel Big Data Analytic Platform, enabling organizations to achieve better price performance and quicker time to analytic value.

Calpont Corporation announced the next generation of its high performance analytic data platforms, InfiniDB 4 and InfiniDB for the Cloud. InfiniDB 4 includes a number of enhancements for the demands of high availability workloads and additional third party tool integrations that enable entire organizations to get involved as Big Data developers. InfiniDB for the Cloud enables high-performance analytics applications in Amazon Web Services with dynamic provisioning as data demands and processing needs grow.

Dell Software released of a host of new management tools, including Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise 10.0, a SQL Server database monitoring tool. New capabilities include: increased flexibility for alarms and notifications, including the ability to execute Powershell scripts; ability to monitor index fragmentation; support for Android devices; and integration for LiteSpeed customers.

GridGain Systems (Gridgain.com) announced the availability of an end-to-end In-Memory Computing infrastructure stack. The GridGain Stack includes high performance computing, streaming, and in-memory database, as well as drop-in acceleration for Hadoop.

Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., announced its expansion of Hitachi solutions for SAP software. The enhanced portfolio includes solutions specifically designed to optimize the performance, business continuity, data protection and scalability of SAP software-enabled platforms.

Nasuni, a provider of enterprise storage to large, distributed organizations, announced a major expansion of its storage controller line. The wider array of Nasuni Filer storage controllers includes on-site virtual machines, VMs in the cloud, and hardware Filers with solid state drive and high availability options.

NuoDB, Inc., a provider of distributed database technology, announced the general availability of NuoDB Blackbirds Release 2.0. The release features many upgrades that improve quality, stability and performance.

SAP AG announced a new rapid-deployment solution for SAP HANA Live, designed for  real-time operational reporting within and beyond SAP Business Suite software powered by the SAP HANA platform. SAP HANA Live allows customers to perform real-time analysis on top of live transactional data for rapid insight into business operations.

VMware, Inc. introduced new product offerings across its end-user computing product portfolio to broaden support for the mobile workforce. VMware Horizon View 5.3 will offer an improved user experience, streamlined management, reduced total cost of ownership, and a new route to market for virtual desktops. VMware Horizon Mirage 4.3 integrates with Horizon View to enable IT to use image layering to manage both physical and virtual desktops at scale, while offering enhanced Windows 7 migration and Web management capabilities. As part of VMware Horizon Workspace, Sony smartphones will join the growing list of VMware Ready devices that help IT administrators improve their enterprise mobile management strategy and support BYOD policies.
