Autonomy Corporation plc announced the availability of Autonomy Arcpliance, a new on-premise digital archiving appliance. Autonomy Arcpliance leverages the next-generation archiving capabilities of Autonomy Digital Safe, Autonomy’s cloud-based archiving solution, to provide a turn-key archiving appliance. The appliance is designed for midsized businesses or organizations seeking a simplified, scalable solution for specific tasks, such as archiving application, divisional or location-specific data.

Coveo announced the launch of a free, entry-level enterprise search solution, Coveo Expresso Beta. Coveo’s new solution places the power of enterprise information access in the hands of employees, at no cost, for up to 50 users, 1M desktop files and email items and 100,000 Intranet documents. It features: cross-enterprise Email Search, the Coveo Outlook Sidebar, The Coveo Desktop Floating Searchbar, enterprise desktop search and mobile access via BlackBerries for 50 users.

IBM unveiled a new software platform designed to change the way that local, state and national governments manage and deliver services to the public. The new IBM Government Industry Framework will help agencies of all sizes use new technologies to transform their existing support and delivery processes, allowing them to more efficiently deploy limited resources and respond more quickly to everything from public emergencies to the delivery of social services. The Framework is a base software platform that is enriched by the contributions of independent software developers who use it as a foundation to build unique applications that address particular issues across government.
Idera announced SQL virtual database, a product for accessing and extracting data from SQL Server backup files. SQL virtual database is a product that lets database administrators and developers attach SQL Server backup files and query them like they were “live” SQL Server databases. Idera also announced SQL toolbox, a collection of products containing more than 25 essential tools for SQL Server DBAs, and SQL safe 6.0, an SQL Server backup and recovery solution.

Designed for use by Microsoft .NET developers, MapInfo MapXtreme v7.0 is a development solution for creating map-centric and location-enabled applications. The newest version of MapInfo MapXtreme v7.0 features a number of advances designed to enhance the developer experience, including improved flexibility and data access, customization capabilities and interoperability with Bing and Google Maps.
Quest Software, Inc. announced Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise, now featuring business intelligence monitoring, coupled with the debut of Foglight for SQL Server, enables database administrators to proactively detect, diagnose and resolve SQL Server performance issues. Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise also offers automated CPU diagnosis, which affords users detailed visibility into CPU conditions from both SQL Server and Windows perspectives within a single location, empowering database and systems administrators to troubleshoot issues collaboratively. The new version integrates direct links to Quest’s SQLServerPedia portal from dashboard, giving users access to detailed information on SQL Server performance issues via expert blogs, wiki posts, video tutorials and more.
SAS announced SAS Enterprise Case Management, the latest component to SAS Fraud Framework. Advantages of SAS Enterprise Case Management include integrating information from siloed monitoring systems used by other lines of business, products or channels. The system offers a triage queue where users can review work items sent to the system automatically prior to appending to an existing case, creating a new case, or closing the work item. SAS Enterprise Case Management prepopulates forms and automatically prepares batch reports to help the user meet e-filing standards for regulatory submission. The system includes interactive dashboards that enable management to analyze operational performance of investigative functions and recognize trends to provide improved oversight and governance of risk management practices.
