Content Raven, a content security company that helps enterprises achieve greater control over their intellectual property as it is being shared externally, announced the availability of a new freemium product designed to make safe sending of content easy and accessible for all types of users.

DataStax, a NoSQL database provider, announced new versions of its Apache Cassandra-based database software and visual monitoring tools. DataStax Enterprise (DSE) 3.2 features new automatic DataStax Management Services that allow developers to focus on their revenue-generating applications rather than their database's maintenance activities

Oracle announced Oracle Big Data Appliance X4-2, which includes the entire Cloudera Enterprise technology stack and 33 percent more storage capacity for a total of 864 terabytes. Oracle Big Data Appliance X4-2 is a comprehensive Big Data platform optimized for both batch and real-time processing, utilizing Cloudera Distribution for Apache Hadoop, Oracle NoSQL Database, Cloudera Impala and Cloudera Search to satisfy diverse computing requirements.

PKWARE announced the availability of advanced versions of its flagship products, PKZIP and SecureZIP for z/OS. These latest versions deliver dramatic new performance technologies that lower data center operating costs. Version 15 of PKZIP and SecureZIP exploit several IBM mainframe hardware facilities to offload compression and free up general computing capacity to reduce the total cost of computing.

Red Hat announced the public beta of JBoss Data Grid 6.2.
