0xdata, an open source machine learning and predictive analytics company for big data, announced general availability of the latest release of H2O, a prediction engine for big data users of Hadoop, R and Excel. H2O quickly delivers parallel and distributed advanced algorithms. The second generation H2O “Fluid Vector” release delivers new levels of performance, ease of use and integration with R.

Basho, a provider of distributed systems and cloud storage software, announced that the Technical Preview of Riak 2.0, Basho's distributed NoSQL database, is now publicly available. This major release introduces new features that improve developer ease-of-use, increase flexibility around consistency, boost search and analytics capabilities, simplify operations at scale, and provide enterprise-class data security.

Calpont Corporation, a provider of high-performance analytic databases, announced InfiniDB for Apache Hadoop.  InfiniDB for Apache Hadoop complements organizations’ Hadoop infrastructure with a columnar architecture that is optimized for rapid and easy access to highly dimensional data and has the flexibility, scale and horsepower to work with massive data sets.

ClearStory Data introduced Data Intelligence, a new way for anyone and any organization to speed access to internal and external data sources, discover new data and insights, and actively collaborate across diverse data assets to reach fast answers. ClearStory’s solution is an integrated application and platform that changes how people across the business consume data from corporate and external sources.

Cloudera, a provider of enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop, unveiled the fifth generation of its platform for big data, Cloudera Enterprise, which is now available as a public beta offering. The new product release, which includes Apache Hadoop 2, offers unique features and advancements that simplify storing, processing, analyzing and managing large structured and unstructured data sets while offering increased security, robust data management and tight integration with third-party applications. Along with Release 5, the company introduced the Enterprise Data Hub, a new vision for data management in the era of big data.

Clustrix, a scale-out SQL database engineered for the cloud, announced the general availability of ClustrixDB as a software download, a scale-out database for real-time analytics on live operational data.

DataRPM, a provider of natural language search for embedded business intelligence deployments, announced the preview release of its next-generation Embedded Natural Language BI Platform for Big Data. With this release, DataRPM unlocks value of the data provided by information service providers by allowing Natural Language Business Intelligence to be embedded into any data environment. 

Exterro Inc., a provider of workflow-driven e-discovery software, unveiled Fusion In-Place Preservation. The new advancement will help enterprises reduce electronically stored information spoliation risks and e-discovery collection costs by automatically suspending and reinstating document retention policies based on legal hold notification status.

MapR Technologies, Inc. announced comprehensive, native security authentication and authorization with the MapR Distribution for Apache Hadoop. MapR’s security innovations enable businesses to secure all of the Hadoop ecosystem components through a simple, fast and self-contained security model that provides protection against security threats including user impersonation, rogue daemons and malicious remote procedure calls.

MarkLogic Corporation announced a significant update to its Connector for Hadoop that allows Hadoop applications direct access to data indexed and managed by the MarkLogic Enterprise NoSQL database platform. Using the Connector, a Hadoop application can directly read all of the data from MarkLogic’s compressed data files stored in the Hadoop Distributed File System without communicating through a MarkLogic database or exporting the data.

PKWARE introduced Viivo for Business, software that secures sensitive files that are stored and shared in public cloud environments while providing administrative visibility and control. With Viivo for Business, companies gain visibility into data sharing and usage analytics for how public cloud storage services are used within the organization.

Platfora showcased its new product, Platfora Big Data Analytics 3.0, a new Event Series Analytics offering. Platfora Big Data Analytics 3.0 masks the complexity of Hadoop and allows business users to visualize and see patterns and paths of interaction across structured data sets and the massive new data sets of Web/clickstream, mobile, events and the Internet of Things.

Revolution Analytics, a commercial provider of open source R software, announced the availability of Revolution R Enterprise 7 (RRE 7), a big data big analytics platform powered by R. The new platform is now integrated with more data and compute environments and features a “write once deploy anywhere” functionality allowing data analysts and IT teams to more fully utilize a variety of data management platforms like Hadoop and second-generation enterprise data warehouses.

RSA, The Security Division of EMC, unveiled RSA Vulnerability Risk Management, a new software solution designed to help organizations improve their overall security posture by analyzing massive amounts of vulnerability scan data and helping to identify and prioritize the highest-risk vulnerabilities. RSA VRM is engineered to leverage big data and advanced analytics to identify the most important vulnerabilities so they can be fixed quickly to limit risk and better prevent cyber attacks.

SAP AG announced the latest release of the SAP Cloud for Sales solution, including powerful new retail execution capabilities for consumer goods companies.

SiSense, a big data analytics company, unveiled new patent-pending In-Chip 2.0 technology with Crowd Accelerated Analytics. This innovation to SiSense Prism provides business users with faster query results as loads increase. It also allows businesses to scale to thousands of simultaneous users on a single box.

Splunk Inc. announced the next evolution of big data analytics with the general availability of Hunk: Splunk Analytics for Hadoop. Hunk is a full-featured, integrated analytics platform for Hadoop that enables everyone in an organization to interactively explore, analyze and visualize historical data in Hadoop. Hunk is built on patent pending virtual index technology   and also provides a rich developer environment, including an integrated Web framework and software development kits for the most popular development languages.

SoftLayer, an IBM Company, and Cloudera  announced the availability of turnkey, multi-server SoftLayer infrastructure solutions running Cloudera platform. The on-demand solutions are built on bare metal servers engineered for Cloudera best practices and rapidly designed and deployed through SoftLayer's solution designer tool.

Talend, a global open source software provider, announced the availability of version 5.4 of its next-generation integration platform, natively optimized to run inside Hadoop by leveraging MapReduce 2.0, also known as YARN. Version 5.4 of Talend for Big Data enables data-driven organizations to capitalize on all data assets in new ways, thanks to the power of open source-driven innovation.
