Actuate Corporation announced the availability of Map It, Flash Maps and Map Intelligence, a collection of apps for developers to extend BIRT to any geospatial mapping application to create rich data visualizations. The apps can be downloaded from the BIRT Exchange Marketplace, an open software showcase on the most active online BIRT community, where any developer can promote, share or sell BIRT related applications, solutions and components.
Attunity Ltd. introduced the new Attunity PowerPivot Connector for Oracle, a dedicated and optimized solution for making Oracle data available in Microsoft PowerPivot. It delivers affordable and optimized software for loading large volumes of Oracle data into PowerPivot. The connector delivers a simplified and integrated user experience as well as specific performance optimizations proven in lab benchmarks.
Boardwalktech announced today availability of a collaborative S&OP solution built upon the Boardwalk Collaboration Platform (BCP) which includes application modules for product unit forecasting, demand planning, CPFR, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), promotion management and other applications. BCP provides a flexible, rapid process automation environment which uses the data model from a spreadsheet, including all the formulas and business logic, which can be used directly to rapidly configure and deploy multiple S&OP applications.
Demandbase, Inc. announced the availability of a new application built on LivePerson’s platform that combines real-time business identification with live chat. Idera announced the latest versions of its SQL Server security, auditing and compliance products, SQL secure 2.6 and SQL compliance manager 3.2. SQL secure 2.6 includes three new policy templates by SQL Server security level to ensure security needs are met across different databases and application. The new version also adds 25 new security checks covering a variety of login, permissions, configurations, data access and data integrity needs. SQL compliance manager is a comprehensive SQL Server auditing solution that answers ‘Who did what, when and how on your SQL Servers,’ helping to ensure compliance with regulatory and data security requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, GLBA, HIPA, and Basel II.
Kalido announced a new software product that will enable organizations to more effectively manage data governance programs and, as a result, dramatically improve data quality. Kalido Data Governance Director will increase the success of data governance programs by enabling companies to manage data policies, operationalize data governance processes, and measure and monitor compliance across the enterprise. Logicworks Compliant Cloud provides a full range of solutions including; PCI for e-commerce, SAS-70 and Sarbanes-Oxley required for internal systems at public companies, HIPAA for healthcare applications, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) for government projects and safe harbor for European Union projects hosted in the United States.
Pegasystems Inc. announced it is expanding its capabilities for the communications and media market with its new Communications Foundation, based on its SmartBPM solution. Pegasystems’ Communications Foundation provides users with a prebuilt, industry-standard data model that can be immediately leveraged as they model business processes and policies to create applications with Pegasystems’ SmartBPM. Based on the TM Forum Frameworx, the solution accelerates development time by providing an immediately usable library of predefined data elements and relationships between elements. The Foundation provides coverage of a wide range of communications service provider business functions, modeling market, sales, customer, product, service and resource data elements.
Pentaho Corporation announced its secure, flexible On-Demand BI Suite Subscription that removes critical barriers to BI adoption by giving the customer complete control over how the solution is deployed and managed – by Pentaho, by the customer, or by both. In addition, Pentaho announced the availability of an on-demand evaluation environment, allowing enterprises to easily test drive the Pentaho BI Suite with their own data without requiring any of their own hardware and personnel assets.

Quest Software, Inc. released its first Windows Management SaaS offering, Quest OnDemand, with solutions for Active Directory recovery and Windows log management, designed for small and midsize businesses. Quest OnDemand Recovery for Active Directory provides backup and object-level recovery of Active Directory data. It is designed to enable flexible, scheduled backups without manual intervention, facilitating quick and scalable recovery of Active Directory data.
SOA Software announced Service Manager 6.0. It provides advanced virtualization, management, security, monitoring and mediation capabilities for SOA and cloud service, implemented using a OSGi-based architecture. Service Manager 6.0 delivers: policy-based mediation for integration with multiple platforms, extensible binding framework, security federation and open architecture.
Teradata Corporation introduced the Teradata Customer Experience Management solution that shows communications service providers their subscribers’ perspective of their service. It is the latest addition to the Teradata Telco Analytics with Ventraq suite of applications. Teradata Customer Experience Management quantitatively measures a subscriber’s entire experience ― voice, text, Internet and email transactions ― with the operator’s products, services, applications and network. This information can be used to identify the root cause of network, application and handset problems and trace them to affected subscribers. It can also reduce support costs by preempting potential dissatisfaction and prioritize corrective actions based on customer profitability.
